The 24th International Economic Forum (SPIEF) in St. Petersburg gives a unique opportunity to let experts work together in person. This summit will be held from June 2th through the 5th and include different panel discussions and round tables with participants including leading government figures; senior executives from major corporations and financial institutions; renowned experts; and pioneering entrepreneurs.
A delegation of the Swiss Russian Chamber of Commerce will be present in St. Petersburg. They will contribute by taking part actively to conferences and round tables in areas such as healthcare.
During the Healthy Life Programme, one of the members of the Swiss Russian Chamber of Commerce delegation, Prof. em. Dr. med. Robert Steffen from Epidemiology, Biostatics and Prevention Institute (University of Zurich), will take part to the panel discussion “Fighting infections: future risks” together with Mikhail Murashko, Minister of Health of the Russian Federation, and Aleksandr Gintsburg, Director, "National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology named after the honorary academician N.F. Gamaleya" where a vaccine Sputnik V was developed.
On top of that, as a member of the Swiss Russian Chamber of Commerce delegation, Prof. Dr. med. Natalia Rudovich, Associate Professor, Medical University of Zurich and Head of Endocrinology and Diabetes Unit (Buelach Hospital), will attend the session “Modern therapies for diabetes mellitus: innovations to improve quality of life.” as part of the Healthy Life Area. She will be participating online from Switzerland.
The other members of our delegation will be participating in the Drug Security Forum.
This summit is also a great opportunity to strengthen the partnership between Switzerland and Russia. The Swiss Russian Chamber of Commerce will sign a cooperation agreement with the Roscongress Foundation, organizer of the SPIEF. It will increase our network in terms of business events, commercial development, and promotion of the Chamber at a global level.
